Free Tournaments (Free Automated Tournaments)
These are tournaments that we can take advantage of today. The idea of these freerolls is to introduce tournaments for the common man irrespective of dedication level. People can gather here to play against other teams and win prizes. There is also a feature where you as a player can be channeled into an already formed team lacking players in their team. So: free tournaments are open to all.
Prizes to be won
1st place - 1 Gold Free Tournament Reward Chest, Glory 300, 300 ranking points
2nd place - 1 Silver Free Tournament Reward Chest, 200 Glory, 200 rank points
3rd place - 1 Copper Free Tournament Reward Chest, 100 Glory, 100 rank points
4th place - 1 Copper Free Tournament Reward Chest, 100 Glory, 100 rank points
5th to 8th place - No reward at all
Pay Tournaments (Paid Automated Tournaments)
As players gets more comfortable and have learned sPvP's basis, they embark on the next level, paid tournaments, where players can challenge themselves through other experienced players.
These tournaments have many similarities with the free tournaments. The difference is that there is, as stated in the name, an entry fee. In order to participate in a tournament, you need a ticket, which you can buy through ArenaNets in-game gem storeor you can receive it in the reward chests that you can get in free tournaments and when you go up in rank.
These tournaments will award all who participate and offer better prices in general in comparison with free tournaments. Of course, the fact is that the most successful team obtains the best prices.
ArenaNets hope is that experienced players will migrate to these tournaments. In The Paid tournaments there is no way to be routed into a team, but all teams must be predetermined.

1st place - 1 Gold Tournament Reward Chest, Glory 360, 360 ranking points, 180 gems
2nd place - 1 Silver Tournament Reward Chest, 240 glory, rank 240 points, 120 gems
3rd place - 1 Silver Tournament Reward Chest, 120 Glory, 120 rankings points, 4 Tournament Tickets
4th place - 1 Silver Tournament Reward Chest, 120 Glory, 120 rankings points, 4 Tournament Tickets
5th place - 1 Copper Tournament Reward Chest
6th place - 1 Copper Tournament Reward Chest
7th place - 1 Copper Tournament Reward Chest
8th place - 1 Copper Tournament Reward Chest
Adjustable arenas (Custom arenas)
Custom arena is for players who want to engineer and refine tactics. There are special PvP servers that can be rented by players and configured according to your wishes - within the map's assumed limits.
The aim is that there should be a place where you can play with select individuals without outsiders - a place they can call their own and organize their own tournaments. This in itself also means the ability to select their opposing team will be. You decide whether the map should be open to all, or locked into a few pieces through password protection. ArenaNet will explain more about custom arenas at a later time.
Here are some other things ArenaNet has in mind for the future, at the moment there's no more information about this but I will keep you guys posted.
